Conventional Wisdom

I seriously don’t think I’m ever going to hear the end of this… which is KIND of cool, since that was the whole idea.

If you’re wondering what the heck I’m talking about, last year I attended Ichibancon without a hotel room, camping out in the parking lot instead. I still defend this ENTIRELY STUPID AND BAD IDEA on the grounds that I wanted to write lots of comics about the whole experience and present PROOF of what a bad idea it is. But yeah, I don’t think I’m every going to be able to ask around about hotel rooms for a con without hearing a chorus of “Don’t sleep in your van again!”

(Historical Notes: Two things here.  First, Yoink is reminding me of THIS Katsucon comic.  Second, for all my ranting, you’d THINK I’d know better than to ever try this again…)
