The second panel is also what happens when somebody asked “Hey, when is the next comic update going to be done? Yeah, sorry about that.  Slipping back into my delayed ways again, aren’t I?

But seriously, while this page mashes together multiple incidences all into one slurry, it really is an accurate depiction of the two distinct ways those interactions went down.  In my defense, though, there is one more detail that didn’t really make it into the finished comic.  For some reason, ALL of my “Hey, you’re that comic guy!” interactions happened on Sunday.  Like, exclusively.  Friday was my panel day, with the whole experience dominated by scrambling to set up and tear down that stuff, then recovering.  Then Saturday was basically shopping day, with most of my time (and money) spent down around the Dealer’s Room.  Then, for some reason, Sunday turned into “interact with others” day right the heck out of nowhere.  After two straight days of being basically anonymous, it took me a few hours to get into the groove of actually responding to others with more than a blank stare.  Because trust me, that is NOT a maneuver I can pull off without practice.

But seriously, though, thanks to everybody who said “hi” at Otakon!  It never stops being cool, even if you might not realize that’s what I think at the time!
