Otakon 2024 – page 8
Okay, so this was the first time I’d ever wound up buying any vinyl records in an artist alley. If you know anything about me, you know that I get waaaaaaaaaaay too into rooting through old records if you give me a chance, so the discovery that somebody actually had any for sale at Otakon was very, VERY dangerous. Actually, I’m being a bit disingenuous here. Technically, I’d already seen a box of 45s for sale at Otaku Joe’s last year (because of COURSE it was Otaku Joe’s) but it wasn’t a lot, and I didn’t notice it until after I’d already done a weekend’s worth of buying other things. This year, they had a lot more, they weren’t even the only ones, and I stumbled onto this horrible horrible fact BEFORE I’d burned through my funds. So, yeah, I spent way too much money on old anime records. And I’ll do it again if somebody doesn’t stop me.
Dang it, I actually used to be pretty good about NOT spending money at these things…
