Conventional Wisdom

(Historical Notes: No, I did not buy any anime on laserdisc, but you’d better believe the temptation was strong.  I don’t even care that I will almost certainly never own a laserdisc player, just the novelty of owning at least one anime on the format would be enough justification for me.  I haven’t had a working turntable or VCR in years, but that doesn’t mean I’ll ever get rid of my collections of LPs or VHS, dang it!  Also, I wonder how many kids these days don’t even get the Strong Bad reference here.)
