It’s been fairly well documented that I really appreciate a con that makes a real production out of Opening Ceremonies. Otakon really knocked out of the park this year with a performance by Chin Hamaya Culture Center. Basically, it was all of the awesome.

Oh, and they also paraded several staffers around in Free! swim trunks. There’s that too.
