Yup, I’m saying nice things about AUSA’s Opening Ceremonies again. Hey, when a lot of cons are content to have their “ceremonies” just be a list of the guest’s names and a lecture from the medical staff, anyone who’s willing to put on a SHOW is worth praising publicly.

(Historical Notes: I seem to recall that this was a VERY fast-paced affair, with all of the little magic show skits happening rapid fire and never overstaying their welcome.  I actually think that just might be the single most important thing an Opening Ceremonies show can do.  Even a joke that’s genuinely funny can end up falling flat if you drag it out too long.)
