Conventional Wisdom

I have repeatedly drawn Cthulhu attacking a major American city and this is still the most unrealistic image I’ve ever drawn for this comic.

But yeah, I’ve received kind words from staffers on a number of occasions, but this was the first time I’d ever gotten a shout-out right in the midst of Opening Ceremonies, in front of everybody. So that kinda ruled.

(Historical Notes: As much of an ego trip as it may be to get props from staffers, this sort of thing started to make me uncomfortable the more of a bitter and jaded old man I become.  It’s hard to say how I really feel about things if the people responsible for those things are buttering me up, ya know?  Of course, it’s been years since anybody actually cared about this comic or me, so I doubt I’ll have to worry about that happening anymore.  That’s… good?)
