Katsucon seems to be going the Anime USA route of making a big event out of Opening Ceremonies, and I totally approve of that idea. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, I enjoy it when the kick-off is a big deal.
And yes, we were treated to an elaborate demonstration of samurai swordsmanship, some of which was accompanied by a brass arrangement of the Dragonball Z theme!
