Conventional Wisdom

I know I say this a lot, but I always prefer cons where Opening Ceremonies are an actual entertaining spectacle instead of just some staffer reading off chunks of the schedule… and yet, clearly I NEED somebody to read the schedule to me, because outside of finding out the times of stuff I’m supposed to be at, I sure never read it.  But seriously, there were multiple times where I’d just be chilling out in the hall, hearing these MASSIVE crowds going wild right behind the doors, and genuinely have absolutely NO clue what it could possibly have been.  If I’m not either directly involved in the event, or at least know somebody who is, it WILL fly directly over my head.
