So, Otakon decided not to do Awesomely Bad this year, but they did approve Kurt’s Iron Chef panel and he had me on as co-host. I didn’t eat breakfast… BEFORE A WHOLE PANEL ON IRON CHEF. Clearly, I am an idiot.
Oh, and you’re right, Kurt. Iron Bus Boy DOES need to be a comic (too bad I had to cut so many ideas to keep this from being any later than it already is)
(Historical Notes: For context, my primary job at the restaurant was bussing tables, so I was officially included on the panel to be “an industry insider.” And the hotel really did have one of their food stand vendor things right there in front of the panel room we were in, so it really was genius.)
Another panel I always enjoyed doing, should probably bring this one back but I’d have to completely remake all the video clips and probably the slide show too as those have most likely been lost now from when my old laptop died.
If anything, I think this panel is MORE necessary now, since more and more youngsters have never even SEEN the original.
