(Dang it, I am NOT making Saturday into the new Conventional Wisdom update time.  Just bear with me, I’m gonna try to get back into the Wednesday groove as soon as I can)

There are many difficulties that come from rooming with cosplayers -lack of space, constant mess, several things being worked on at all times, layers of paint and hot glue all over everything- but not many people consider the potential for psychological horror.  From big elaborate masks to weird puppets to just plain old plushies, there are LOTS of strangely shaped objects that take on a whole new vibe while sitting in darkened corner of an unfamiliar room.  From the uncanny valley of a headpiece with empty, vacant eye sockets to just a pile or props that merge into a freaky silhouette, cosplayer rooms are FULL of sights that that, at the very least, cause to you to give a double take before your eyes have a chance to adjust.
