Okay, I freely admit that this COULD largely be me and my own inability to remember certain things, but the very fact that there’s enough variety out there for me to get confused over is still worth complaining about.  And BOY do I have a lot of complaints about registration built up over the years, at least as far as panelist compensation goes.  It’s bad enough that every con seems to have their own policy, which gets really confusing when you’re trying to coordinate three or four upcoming conventions at the same time, but it’s when the SAME convention changes thing up from year to year that my brain absolutely melts.  You know, one year you have to pay for your badge in full ahead of time, and then they reimburse you afterwards, then next year they decide to just give excepted panelists freebies right away… which you inevitably don’t find out about until AFTER you’ve already paid for one, and so on and so forth.  Sometimes you get your badge at the same desk as everyone else, other times you have to go find panel ops and get it there, sometimes you have to do BOTH but not always in the same order, and on and on and on.  I just really don’t like having to stress out about stuff like this, dang it (it’s just one of the reasons I honestly don’t mind having an extended break like this)

Speaking of breaks, we had a bit of a lapse in comics here, didn’t we?  Sorry about that, but I’ve actually got a pretty neat excuse.  Animazement WOULD have been this previous weekend, and while we couldn’t pull something together quite in time for that date itself, Awesomely Bad Japanese Music Videos is scrambling to put together a special livestream version of the panel!  Keep an eye on the Facebook or tumblr pages or even the brand new Awesomely Bad Twitter for more info and links to the stream this Saturday!

…ALSO, I just posted a new batch of stuff up on Patreon, including the first of the bonus Ichibancon 2020 pages!  Please go give me some money!
