Conventional Wisdom

To be fair, they actually just HANDED out the mugs and lunchboxes, lest anyone should get injured… but they clearly only realized this was a problem AFTER already going onstage with the stuff.

But yeah, anyone who’s read my AUSA comics knows I appreciate a con that makes a big deal out of Opening Ceremonies, and this was certainly a big NOISY one!

(Historical Notes: I’m afraid to make more jokes about people getting hit by stuff thrown from the stage, but I KNOW that comes up again in another AWA comic somewhere down the line, and I don’t want Future Me to get mad.)
