I’m just waiting for someone to dig up an ’90-era map of the Galleria and point out that the old CyberStation arcade was actually in the space NEXT to the convention arcade, and that I was excited about the wrong thing all weekend.

But seriously, a fully stocked WEDOCA game room is awesome enough. Having one right smack dab in the middle of my nostalgia is… like… MORE awesome!

(Historical Notes: I’m still not sure, but I GUESS this is why I didn’t make more of a deal about the ride down to Atlanta.  I’d been making family trips down and back since I was thirteen… and even when lived in Atlanta, we’d travel UP to visit relatives in NC.  So, yeah, I know I-85 heading South even better than I do I-95 headed North.  Anyway, with every subsequent trip down to AWA, the Cobb Galleria became even more of an oasis of nostalgia.  EVERYTHING else changed throughout the area, but that one little dead mall always stayed exactly how I left it in the mid-90s.  You will be hearing about that a LOT over the subsequent updates.)
