Animazement 2010 – page 7
This year’s Animazement was the first time I ever helped host a panel, which was pretty darn fun. Hopefully we didn’t shock to many fangirls with the knowledge that there are rock bands in Japan who DON’T wear five layers of eye-liner (or that existed before 1989)
Though, yes, this is the panel that was bogging down over projector problems in the last page.
(Historical Notes: This would only get worse the deeper and deeper we dug. There’s a TON of interesting and historically important bands that there’s no filmed evidence of. Some of these panels would work a lot better as podcasts)
I think this was when we did the History of Japanese Rock panel IIRC? Here I thought what would be a simple overview, became a much deeper well the further I got, learned a lot and I like to think we somehow presented it all in a coherent manor.
Yeah, I think was Flower Travelin’ Band, who we only ever managed to find some sound-free clips of (with random snippets of Satori dubbed over, from what I can recall)
