Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the biggest, most elaborate Conventional Wisdom page yet!

And, just for the record, I’m giving myself an undue hard time in the introduction. Actually, I’ve been wanting to do this “train of thought” idea for a while. This is another comic idea that I’ve resurrected from my college days. Every so often, I’d write a paragraph of the previous night’s reading on the board, then illustrate the random train of thought it generated underneath. Replace “block of text from a historical philosophy or theology text” with “manga scanlation” and you’ve got this week’s comic!

Also, now that I look at it, that introduction sounds a lot like the final opening to Bonus Stage, doesn’t it?

(Historical Notes: I didn’t do very many of these types of comics, since it turns out they didn’t really fit Conventional Wisdom anywhere near as well as the college comics.  After all, the whole original idea was to cheat and get out of having to think too hard on a comic idea, yet this really is four separate comic ideas so it’s actually MORE work.  I think I was also a bit self-conscious about posting comics including too much material I hadn’t drawn myself, which is ADORABLE to think about these days.  Actually I think the biggest problem is that I just fell out of reading manga as much as I used to, and the idea doesn’t really work with a video.  Oh, and I’m sure there’s several layers of legalities to consider, too.  Heck, is MangaFox even around anymore?)
