Conventional Wisdom

It’s honestly pretty weird that I automatically got nostalgic for Ye Olde Animazement when nobody could get in on Sunday due to fire alarms.  I mean, it’s not like there haven’t been fire alarms at other cons I’ve attended or anything.  I guess it’s just that this is the first time I can recall it happening since they moved to the big Raleigh location… after the last weekend at the previous hotel had MULTIPLE fire alarm evacuations in a row.  I guess I’ve just imprinted on that as being a thing that happened at “old” Animazement, which only got magnified by the general nostalgia of the setting.
