I’ve been to big voice actor things like this before, but they were comedic affairs involving goofy Flash Gordon scripts and the like. Otakon’s panel was a far more varies affair, though, featuring such works as the issue of Sandman above. Bet you didn’t know that Despair sounds like a hoarse Lina Inverse, did you? (‘cos, ya see, Lisa Ortiz did the voice)

Not to say that they DIDN’T do some goofy Flash Gordon scrips, mind you. That’s where the whole “Spoon” bit came from: this dude was one of the audience participators (they also grabbed MasakoX to play Flash)

Seriously, it was a fantastic panel. Go look it up on YouTube or something, you won’t regret it.

(Historical Notes: There’s a bit of Special Edition-ing going on with this one.  I was still figuring out the whole “incorporating other images” aspect of editing comics here, to the point that my “master copy’ of this comic didn’t have that Sandman panel on the screen… and the SmackJeeves copy that DID made a really lame job of it, needlessly including the speech bubbles even though the dialog was already over there on the left.  It was like the visual version of echo feedback.  It’s also something none of you really would have cared about, but stuff like this is why these re-posts are taking so long, so I might as well give you all the nitty gritty details.)
