The Filler Arc That Time Forgot – Otakon 2011 outtake
As promised, we’re going through another set of comic ideas that didn’t quite make it onto the Internet the first time around! I’m starting with Otakon and working backwards, since that’s the only one here that even comes close to still being relevant.
But yeah, if you hung out at any of the gatherings of Digimon fans at Otakon this year, you saw at least one of these happen. And if you didn’t… WHERE WERE YOU? I left this comic out because there was already nearly 20 comics to finish as it was, and it’s not like there was going to be a shortage of Digimon-related stuff.
I do have to chastise myself for drawing Ken’s glasses a little wonky, though. Back when Fan Digidestined characters were a big thing, mine was basically me in a red version of the Emperor suit, but with somewhat more angular glasses. Sadly, I got so use to drawing those that even when I try to draw REAL Ken, the glasses still come out kind of OFF. You now know more than you ever needed or wanted to know about how I draw Digimon characters. Congratulations.
