It’s not that I wanna tell people how to spend their weekends or anything… but come on, guys. Don’t blow half your weekend just sitting in line for one thing, that’s just sad.
And man, I’m trying HARD to cram down a rant about how bad for everybody the whole “camp out as early as they’ll let you for stuff” mindset is. ‘Cos it is bad. For everybody. Everywhere. Ever.
(Historical Notes: I’ve said it elsewhere, but this page and its second part are still one of my favorite convention stories ever. The timing is just too perfect.)
I spent 5 hours waiting in line for Game Grumps just to get JonTron’s autograph (got Arin’s earlier that weekend), only to have the whole thing cancelled ‘cuz Jon got a stomach bug. I did wish him well when I saw him in the hotel hallway.
Thankfully the waiting wasn’t too bad, because I got to wait with Maffew of Botchamania and we played a game.
Oh wow, you TOTALLY came out a winner in the end there. 😀
