Katsucon 2015 – page 12
I’m reasonably sure this didn’t happen Saturday night, and even if it did I wouldn’t have been there to see it. All I know is that the sound system sounded TERRIBLE when we set up on Sunday, and the tech guy swore up and down that it hadn’t been the case the previous night. And you know what? I’m, completely comfortable blaming the inconveniences in my life on strangers who are more successful than I’ll ever be.
(Historical Notes: Yes, this is ANOTHER joke I’ve told more than once because it’s the sort of thing that comes up quite a lot. As if it wasn’t bad enough to feel like all the cosplay events were taking precedence over the rest of us panelists, that’s AFTER the voice actors and industry guests get first dibs on all the times and locations they want. Yet another reason why so many people decided to quit bothering with Katsucon.)
I think even after we got staff to help set things right, there was still a bit of static in the audio. I always do my best to get props to AV/Tech staff for these events, cause they have to go above and beyond to deal with every weird hiccup and hookup issue with expensive equipment for the whole weekend. More power to them!
