What I love about this is I didn’t have to fake ANYTHING for comicking purposes. We seriously were talking about how there’d been remarkably little meme shouting, and SECONDS LATER the Nyan Cat Parade marched by. Kurt even looked over at me right afterwards and said “This is gonna be a comic, isn’t it?” Yes. Yes indeed.
But seriously, Katsucon really WAS very light on the meme-shouting. I head exactly one guy yelling out “Marco”, and not a single person answered. GOOD FOR YOU, PEOPLE.
(Historical Notes: Dang it, literally just LOOKING at this page got the Nyan Cat song stuck in my head)
This memory is still very vivid in my mind and I feel like the only thing I’ve seen come close to it was “the running of the inflatable shrimp” at Magfest a few years ago.
