Well, there WAS a link here to the AMV in question, but apparently Ghibli made YouTube take it down. Crap.

Actually, the Miyazaki panel this… thing appeared in was really, really good. Charles Dunbar of Study of Anime did a really great job with the material, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many Ghibli cosplayers at once in my life. 😀

(Historical Notes: I mentioned this somewhere else, but it bears repeating.  I used to think showing AMVs at cons was an outdated relic once streaming video became common place, but since copyright bots ALSO became common place, I’ve come back around to thinking there’s something really valuable about off-line, in-person, curated screenings of this kind of thing.)
