Gee, a complaint about lines at an anime convention? How original! Still, Katsucon set the bar for line nightmares pretty high this year when space restrictions forced the Pre-Reg and At Door Registration lines into one long, infuriating monster. Thank God they’re moving next year.

(Historical Notes: I’ll get into this more later, but the overcrowding situation at Katsucon 2009 really was one of the worst I ever experienced.  Not so much in sheer numbers, Otakon has almost everything beat in that, and Azimazement’s final year in Durham probably had a deeper psychological effect on me thanks to being my first real experience with this, but… I dunno.  This Katsucon just stands out as something unique.  I guess because I have memories of Katsucon at much larger locations both before AND after this year.  Again, I’ll get into that more later.  In the mean time, this joke felt a lot fresher when it was several months removed from pretty much the exact same joke in the AUSA comics)
