Conventional Wisdom

DON’T PAY ANY ATTENTION TO WHAT THE TAGS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE SAY, THIS STILL DOESN’T COUNT AS ME CAMPING OUT IN THE PARKING LOT!  I was only under that blanket for, like, a few hours!  Everything I said about going home at night and just coming back early to get a parking spot is still true!  Oh, and if that picture in the top panel makes you wonder if I even needed to worry about getting a spot, that just proves what a good plan showing up early actually was.  Seriously, every single spot was claimed by noon, and plenty of “spots” that so weren’t actually parking spots still wound up with cars in them as well.  Just you wait, we’ll be revisiting this particular topic in a few pages.

In the meantime, just for the record, this was actually an extremely comfortable power napping arrangement right here.  It obviously wouldn’t have worked anywhere near as well if it wasn’t the middle of January, but cocooning up in a heavy blanket really was nice and toasty.
