I don’t know if this is as big a thing in other parts of the country/world, but here in the southeast United States, it seems like every single anime convention has a showcase of otaku-themed customized vehicles somewhere on-site.  Sometimes it’s by the front entrance, sometimes it’s out in the parking lot, sometimes they even get to set up inside the Dealer’s Room, but there’s almost ALWAYS a contingent of sports cars covered in giant anime character murals.  And it’s also almost always in spots that looks WAAAAAY more convenient than anyplace us common folk have to park, especially at a cramped convention like Ichi.  Yeah, I know nobody’s actually using those cars as their means of getting to and from the con, their real transportation has to park in the crap just like the rest of us… but just imagine if somebody DID take advantage of that prime parking this way.

Incidentally, I should mention that it IS one of my great dreams in live to own a big 70s custom van covered in airbrushed Digimon murals.  Hopefully it would look a lot nicer than this one.
