Conventional Wisdom

If you wandered into the Westin on Saturday and glanced at any trash receptacle… or ANY flat surface, really, you’d probably have though to yourself “Wow, these anime geeks are really into their health food!” Well, no, there were just some REALLY over-achieving sample people on site. Seriously, these things were EVERYWHERE Saturday. You couldn’t take three steps without accidentally kicking an empty bag of pita things.

Oh, and on the opposite side of the health spectrum, there some people on Friday handing out cans of Monster. I’m not as ashamed as I should be to admit that I totally took one. If it’s free I WILL CONSUME IT.

(Historical Notes: Still better than that one Intervention where the whole place was buried in samples of terrible, TERRIBLE coconut water.  And even THAT’S still better than the MAGFest where Five Hour Energy gave out so much free shots that somebody literally had a heart attack.  …I’m pretty sure I’ve already told that story, didn’t I? It’s hard to keep track at this point.)
