Conventional Wisdom

(Historical Notes: …aaaaaaaand we’re back!  Yep, this is where breaking up ConCONcon started, and jumping right back in still feels awkward.  Almost as awkward as showing up to a convention meet up and nobody’s there.

I do want to stress that this one isn’t specifically aimed at any Real Life get together I’ve been to over the years, but more a general jab at the tendency of certain convention types to be a bit… overly-optimistic about what they’re doing.  I feel like I’ve hit this same note better elsewhere, but I do still like that “aspirational” line.)
