Conventional Wisdom

(Historical Notes: If you ever hear the con staff giving everybody a rah rah speech during opening/closing ceremonies about how much the hotel staff loves host an anime convention, don’t believe it for a second.  At BEST, the hotel’s liaison to the con staff is making stuff up to make them feel better.  At worst, the con staff are making stuff up to make themselves feel better.  Either way, minimum wage schmucks who actually have to clean up after the con HATE you.  That is a fact you just have to deal with.

On a different note, what the heck hotel is THAT?  That’s not the Sheraton Imperial!  Yeah, I hadn’t QUITE gotten around to embracing the idea that ConCONcon takes place in Animazement’s old hotel, so I just wound up grabbing some random stock photo this time.  I was briefly tempted to Special Edition in something from my current set of hotel pics, but that’d very much go against my “hurry up and finally get these things DONE” mandate.)
