Conventional Wisdom

(Historical Notes: Okay, time for more artist grumbling.  This is one of several longer comics this go ’round where I edited up the panels in separate chunks, then combined them afterwards… and Past Me did something wrong in the process.  For the most part, I’ve avoid re-editing any of these old comics for time management, but the original version of this one just annoyed me too much not to re do.  Just look at the original version, which is actually still re-posted on tumblr, and see how much grungier everything looks than this version.  Of course, as you can no doubt imagine, the re-editing process took WAAAAAAY more time than I anticipated, mostly due to some shortcuts that were supposed to speed things up.  The only real vampire here is the one that drains MY TIME.)
