Spooky Scary Costume Accomplished.

…and in retrospect, I probably would have had to draw this costume this way even if I hadn’t actually added the personalized touches. I mean, the whole point of those big stupid glasses is so I can keep my author avatar recognizable no matter what cosplay I might be involved.

Also, I don’t do many costumes that cover up the face, but I wish I did. It’s a lot more fun to just straight up disappear inside the costume (and better yet, I don’t need to shave!)

(Historical Notes: Generally speaking, I don’t like the idea of going to a con that overlaps with a pre-existing holiday.  I’d rather just celebrate the holiday, thank you very much.  That said, Halloween: The Convention really was a lot of fun. I think a lot of my favorite memories of AUSA at the Wardman Park are from this night, just running around abd doing Trick or Treat silliness on top of the usual convention stuff.)
