I watched a LOT of AMVs at AUSA this year. I always try to catch showing at cons, since I don’t have the patience to sort through the bad AMVs myself. It’s just easier to let someone provide the good stuff, pre-screened. Yeah, I’m lazy like that.
But even for me, watched a whole lot this time. I honestly didn’t realize how late it’d gotten until the last of the AMV Salads ended… and suddenly it was tomorrow morning.
(Historical Notes: I started to make some comments about how the spread of online video streaming led to the decline of panels for AMV Hell-style clip montages… but actually, with the subsequent rise of copyright bots, maybe off-line in-person screenings of this stuff need to make a comeback?)
