Seriously, I hadn’t been to a convention Mookie was at in close to two years, and even then our interactions consisted primarily of me cosplaying and buying stuff. Dude still recognized me right away. Class. Act.
(Historical Notes: In a way, I respect this even more now, because I’m REALLY starting to hit the point where people say “Hey, remember when we were at that thing together?” and I’ve got absolutely NO clue who they are. Like, I remember the event itself, because ANY interaction with a person who reads my stuff burns itself into my memory, but the PERSON is often a fuzzy blur. I mean, come on, look at how many of these comics have notes where I’m struggling to recall details. There’s a lot I lose track of, and I don’t have anywhere NEAR as many fans to deal with as somebody who’s actually SUCCESSFUL.)
