Anime Boston 2012 – page 4
So… yeah. Quite a few people were dividing their attention between AB and PAX East this weekend. This includes Rym and Scott from Geek Nights… who somehow ended up recording a video version of this panel to run while they were at PAX that day. I’m honestly not sure how that happens.
The thing is, though, it wasn’t really a bad “panel”, content-wise. Not much you wouldn’t hear in a good public speaking class, but still stuff a lot of wanna-be panelist need to hear (myself included)
(Historical Notes: Yeah, I really glossed over that point for something so important, but there were TWO major geek conventions in the same city that same weekend. Yeah, it’s a big city so they weren’t exactly across the street from each other or anything, but in most cases people think it’s weird when two cons within three states of each other are on the same weekend. I GUESS the idea is that the anime convention and the gaming convention were different enough that they wouldn’t eat into each other’s demographics… because as we all know, anime conventions are EXCLUSIVELY about Japanese Animation and absolutely NOTHING else.)
