Dude, you don’t understand. Even setting aside the fact that OF COURSE the guy who always cosplays as Dr. Forrester would thing about doing a character from one of the most iconic MST3k movies, just the idea of doing a Tarako/Manos crossover gag for Awesomely Bad had been in conversation for YEARS. Like, I think Kurt first started work on these ponchos all the way back in 2019, and I KNOW we had been talking about doing something like that for even longer.
And yes, between these outfits and the songs and the idols and all the rituals, we really have pretty much turned Awesomely Bad Japanese Music Videos into a Tarako cult.
