Katsucon 2015 – page 3
Apparently, what I really want is Digimon Happy Fun Time Tea Party Simulator or something like that. Seriously, I felt genuinely bad hearing these beloved characters cry out in pain because I WAS HITTING THEM.
If you wanna see me pretend to be a video game reviewer for a minute, All-Star Rumble was… okay. Which still makes it above average as far as Digimon games generally go (come on, you know it’s true). The controls were a bit clunky, making it easy to get stuck doing a long combo in the wrong direction… and those combos didn’t seem too different from each other, either. Actually, my biggest problem was that they didn’t have the game properly set up. There were only two controllers, so no 4-player melee, and most of the characters weren’t unlocked. BOO.
(Historical Notes: That’s a pet peeve I have about Game Rooms in general. If you’re going to make a game available, PLEASE don’t leave it sitting there with all the various levels and characters needing to be unlocked. I know people probably don’t have time to sit down and individually beat every single game ahead of time, but can you at least bust out the ol’ Game Shark and make some all-unlocked saves? PLEASE?)
