Yeah, I know I’ve mentioned this sort of thing several times before, but it’s no exaggeration to say this was the absolute most cramped convention road trip I’ve ever been on. I genuinely did have to get into the one seat space left amid all the luggage, then have additional luggage stuck in around me afterwards. I had Servo in my lap like a baby the whole way.
You gotta keep in mind that the only reason I wound up going to Sangawa Project at all was because the Anime Home Video Museum got invited, which mean that a LOT of boxes of stuff had to make the trip along with us aside from the standard convention trip luggage. All those CRTs and VHS boxes take up a lot of space.
It is a family trait for my brother and I to be skilled Tetris packers for trips, but his ability to fold people is one I never mastered.
I’ve had many convention trips like this! But I have gotten REALLY good at packing the car.
