Seriously, guys, check YMCK out. This band is AWESOME. They mix jazzy, Shibuya-kei melodies with pure 8-bit instrumentation to create the soundtrack every NES game wished had. Heck, when Yokemura brought out a keytar SHAPED LIKE A FAMICOM CONTROLLER, I about fainted.

(Historical Notes: This comic is a prime example of Past Me missing the point of my own comic.  I specifically mention in the comments that the coolest thing was a Famicom Keytar, and NEVER ACTUALLY DRAW THE FAMICOM KEYTAR IN THE COMIC?  What, was I afraid the presence of an actual awesome punchline would distract from people’s ACTUAL desire to see me standing in the corner happy about something?  Yeah, I’m sure that’s a lot more entertaining.  On a less salty note, it does my heart good to know that YMCK is still around and recording music.  Too much stuff in these old comics just isn’t around any more.  Speaking of which…)
