Conventional Wisdom

I’m at a loss to explain what train of thought led me to combine a quirky moe-comedy with classic blacksploitation in the first place, but I can definitely tell you why I stuck with the idea once I got there: BECAUSE SQUID GIRL IN TOUGH, MANLY ROLES IS ALWAYS FUNNY. It’s just an established scientific fact. ALWAYS funny. Squid Girl Fist of the North Star? Funny. Squid Girl Escape from New York? Funny! Squid Girl Evel Knievel? FUNNY! Squid Girl Hulk Hogan? I think I’m gonna have to draw some of these!

(Historical Notes: I never colored this is because there’s no way it’d EVER sell as merchandise… but looking back I really wish I’d done it anyway.)
