I should just change the title of this comic to “Conventional Wisdom: Featuring Digimon every other dang week.” I don’t think there’s another series that’s popped up anywhere NEAR as often as Ye Olde Digital Monsters.
…not that I’m apologizing, mind you. It’s still one of my favorite animes ever. Plus, JesuOtaku’s Digimon 02 retrospective is up and it’s making me feel even more nostalgic about the show than usual. (On a related note, I remain amazed that ANYONE could summarize the plot of that season in a way that almost made it seem coherent. Bravo, I say!)
(Historical Notes: Even more than the comics themselves, these decades-old COMMENTS have been a fascinating parade of “Oh yeah, that’s a thing I cared about, once.” moments. I don’t mean Digimon, though. I’ll be 90 and unable to remember my own family’s faces, and I’ll STILL care about Digimon.)
