A bit of context: at several points during Viga’s Idolmaster panel, points of obvious fandom contention were dealt with by bringing two audience members (one from each side) up to the stage to have a rapid-fire debate on the subject. It was honestly some of the best crowd wrangling I’ve seen at a panel: fast, energetic, well-moderated, really cool. And I’m not just saying that ‘cos this is a friend I’m talking about.
On an unrelated note, somebody should really make some Dakimakura Shields like that. Those things would sell like hotcakes.
(Historical Notes: In retrospect, this comic itself and the comments accompanying it are sort of at odds with each other. The whole point of the quickfire debate thing at the panel was to let sides be heard WITHOUT resorting to full-on fighting. The comic itself is more like what fandom fights on tumblr would look like in real life.)
