MAGFest 2018 – page 16
(Historical Notes: One of the great things about MAGFest specifically and just convention game rooms in general is that I get to play games I normally never get a chance to play anymore. Of course, the problem is that they’re all games I normally never get a chance to play, so I never have a chance to get good at any of them. Just as an aside, am I crazy or did there used to be a version of Bust-A-Move/Puzzle Bobble with a jog wheel for the controller instead of the joystick? I really feel like that’s something I played once, and it definitely seems like a more natural fit for the game mechanics, but I’ve never seen a machine like that in recent memory. And honestly, since the whole point of Neo Geo cabinets was to be modular, a game with a custom controller like that doesn’t make sense anyway. So where’s this memory coming from?)
