Conventional Wisdom

(Historical Notes: I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, this is one of the MANY reasons why I shifted away from staying on-site to commuting from home.  Only having to get one day’s worth of packing done at a time is much easier to manage than getting the whole weekend done in one gargantuan blast.  I’ll take a series of moderate inconveniences over one MASSIVE one, especially if I know I’ve got the option to go back and fix anything I forgot.  Obviously, that all depends on the con I’m going to being close enough to DO a daily commute, which is its own kettle of fish, but the point is I never had any day-long packing scrambles like this after I stopped traveling out of state to cons.)
