Intervention is only the second convention I’ve attended that wasn’t specifically an “anime convention”, and the first to be so small (even my earliest Animazements were bigger). As a result, it was seriously disorienting be walking around Friday afternoon, barely an hour before things were supposed to start, and still see empty halls.

And then I actually went into some panels and realized where everybody was. I’m exaggerating a bit here, the amount of people per panel actually was about the same as I’d expect to see at AUSA or Katsucon. But that’s the thing: those other cons bring in thousands of people overall, and still only see any more people doing panels than Intervention does. Apparently all those extra numbers arrive solely to dance in the halls and have Homestuck photoshoots.

…actually, yeah. That sounds exactly right.
