Conventional Wisdom

Yeeeaaah… I think some apologies are in order to Cosplay America, because you did NOT get the best me this weekend and it’s entirely my fault.  As I mentioned over on the cover page, this was one of those cons that I’d been saying I’d get around to for years, and after having everything shut down earlier, I kinda felt obligated to making it finally happen this year.  There’s just one problem… well, actually, there’s more than one, but we’ll get to the others later.  The problem relevant to THIS comic is that, quite a while ago, I made it a policy that I wasn’t going to attend cons within a month of each other any more.  I had become extremely clear that I needed WAY more than four weeks to get over the mental and spiritual exhaustion of being in a convention environment, never mind how much longer drawing comics was taking me.  And yet… here were are.  Between logistical problems regarding the other convention options this Summer and my wanting to finally check this off the list, I went ahead and did what I said I wasn’t gonna do anymore.  THIS WAS A MISTAKE AND YOU’RE GONNA HEAR ALL ABOUT IT.  I also need to apologies in advance for these comics coming out WAAAAAY slower than the Animazement ones did, because I am just SPENT right now.

Gosh, I sure am making the comics to come sound like a real laugh riot, aren’t I?
