Conventional Wisdom

(Historical Notes: Huh.  This is sort of a combination of ConCONcon that was and ConCONcon that would soon be.  On the one hand, that paragraph-sized Light Novel title is absolutely the kind of gag I would put in a modern ConCONcon comic… but then there’s the whole sudden monster thing and the totally out of nowhere reference to The Monkees in the second panel.  Also, two tumblr bashes in a row?  Really, Past Me?  I mean, not that it isn’t warranted, but pace yourself with this sort of thing.)
