Conventional Wisdom

Obviously, it helped that this was the first time Awesomely Bad had BEEN at AWA for quite a few years, but still.  Any time we find out there’s a room full of people who don’t realize what they’re about to witness, it’s a special feeling.  And given that this was not only the first time we’d done the panel in ages but ALSO that it was a lot earlier in the weekend than we usually do this thing (I think the last time Awesomely Bad had been during Thursday was way back at an Anime USA) it was really flattering what a good crowd turned out.  Thanks, guys!  Also, I may have had a bit too much fun drawing this comic.  I might need to save that last panel for future use.

Also also, I’d like to take an extra moment to point out the pre-show of Japanese Coke commercials we put together because, you know, Atlanta.  Not just because Japanese commercials are always fun, but because we spent a GOOD chunk of Thursday afternoon frantically scrambling to download them all from YouTube when we both realized neither one of us had thought to actually do so ahead of time.  We’d TALKED about it for weeks, but like most things in life, the actual doing of anything didn’t happen until right before it was too late.  There’s probably a life lesson in that, somewhere.
