Conventional Wisdom

(Historical Notes: Okay, I don’t remember what Past Me actually said about this one, but I DO seem to remember consciously holding back quite a bit.  I guess even at this late date Past Me was still at least TRYING to stay on the convention overlords’ good side by not talking too much trash… but COME ON.  We may have been the first panel in that room this particular morning, but that’s no excuse for not finishing job of setting up the night before.  I mean, this particular panel room was RIGHT NEXT TO PANEL OPS.  How did the people who literally had this as their job not bother to walk a room over and see if the A/V guys had set everything up before the con started?  Oh, and that’s not all I have to complain about, either, we’re just getting started…)
