(Historical Notes: Now we start drifting back into that realm of me really REALLY wishing I could recover the original SmackJeeves commentary for this page.  I’ve got a sneaking feeling that, despite what the comic implies, Past Me still managed to include some observations about the actual weird animated shorts that Anime Hell screened… but all I remember at this point is that it was quite the stretch to classify them as “anime” …though that’s hardly a surprise given Anime Hell’s track record.  But still, the real issue here is obviously less a matter of me being jaded and desensitized to total weirdness and more that I’M A TIRED OLD MAN WHO NEEDS TO GO TO BED.)
