Conventional Wisdom

All I’m gonna say here is that I have to bite my tongue every time I hear someone say “Hey, I watched that kind of stuff when I was a kid and I turned out okay!”

(Historical Notes: There was some pushback over me implying that the only way this kid could have know what Deadpool is was by being allowed to watch the movie… except I have the same reservations about the other possibilities as well.  Quite frankly, I think exposing children to 90% of EVERYTHING that exists in con space counts as a form of abuse.)
